Toby Levitt has been driven by a relentless commitment to each client’s best interest since the day he co-founded Albion Financial. He treats every client like the first client, inspiring the rest of our team to do the same.
A voracious learner, Toby hunts for new information and elusive insights, building on his formidable understanding of economic systems, trends, and opportunities. Albion clients benefit from his broad range of investment management skills, including individual industry and security analysis and overall portfolio structuring.
Toby has a keen sense of balance. He knows risk and return must be weighed differently for each client and objective. To achieve this balance, Toby’s research extends far beyond mathematical calculations. Asking insightful questions about the personal goals and preferences of each client, he ensures investment and wealth management strategies are developed to support an overall sense of prosperity and well-being.
In or out of the office, Toby is driven by a love of knowledge. An avid photographer, pilot, and paddleboarder, Toby is not one to sit back and rest. He shares his life of adventure with his wife and five children.

John Bird's fascination with social and economic systems gives invaluable context to Albion’s investing and wealth-management strategies. Specializing in complex financial planning issues, client investment policy formulation, and private account portfolio structure, he helps each client chart a course for long-term prosperity. Empowering clients to make educated decisions in an ever-changing world is his passion.
John has received numerous recognitions in national and local publications including Bloomberg Magazine, Worth Magazine, Medical Economics, The Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News. John currently serves as a member of the CFA Institute, the Salt Lake Society of Financial Analysts, the Utah Estate Planning Council and as Finance Chair on the Board of Trustees of Rowland Hall School. He has also served as a board member for the Utah Chapter of the Financial Planning Association, and as Chairman of the Western Region of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors.
At home, John and his wife try to stay a step ahead of their two boys, but with increasing frequency, have to settle for being one step behind.

At Albion, Doug helps clients connect seemingly disparate pieces of information into clear patterns and actionable insights. He is a popular public speaker and author, addressing the complex interests of high net-worth families, executives, business owners, and charitable organizations. In addition, he co-hosts two weekly radio shows focused on finance, investing and business. “Mountain Money,” airs Mondays on Park City's public radio station, KPCW. Doug currently serves on multiple boards, ranging from high-tech start-ups to long-standing charitable organizations, such as Park City's food bank.

Jason Ware, MBA

Jason Ware is Partner and Chief Investment Officer for Albion Financial Group. He joined Albion in the spring of 2008. Jason’s leadership as CIO guides Albion and our clients through complex and ever-changing markets through a rigorous investment approach underpinned by an unwavering core long-term investment philosophy. Specifically, a thorough blend of macroeconomic and sector research, individual security selection, and an overlay of studying the psychology and behavioral biases behind investing informs his process. Jason’s work here is the foundation for Albion’s portfolio management and forms the basis for the firm’s opinions and outlook on the global economy and financial markets.
Jason holds an MBA from Westminster, where his work was recognized by Delta Mu Delta - an international honor society in business founded at NYU. He also earned his Bachelor of Science in economics from the University of Utah. Prior to joining Albion, Jason worked in news media for CBS and in various professional financial roles.
Armed with a deep understanding of financial markets and its economic underpinnings, Jason has a vigorous work ethic and enjoys looking deep to discover new investment ideas. His knack for sizing up good investments, identifying market trends, and thoughtful views on the world economy has distinguished him as a recurrent resource for the financial press - frequently quoted in articles from Reuters, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, American Banker, both The New York & LA Times, and Barron's magazine. Jason is also a frequent guest across several flagship CNBC programs, Cheddar, and Yahoo Finance TV, as well as a regular quest on PBS’s storied Nightly Business Report. Outside of the office, Jason loves spending time with his brilliant wife and their two kids (a son and daughter); traveling; and staying physically active across a variety of pursuits. An avid reader, and a constant student of the world, Jason enjoys ever-broadening his knowledge base.
Albion clients depend on Jon Larsen’s exceptional attention to detail. His commitment to portfolio accuracy comes from a genuine interest in the wellbeing of each client. Jon’s broad understanding of economics provides a sound foundation for the equity and fixed income portfolios he designs.
An experienced investment strategy instructor and account manager, Jon is a strong contributor to any discussion on portfolio structure. He is passionate about understanding the interlocking dynamics of financial markets in an effort to find appropriate opportunities.
Jon brings over 14 years of market knowledge to every portfolio he manages. Before joining the Albion Team, he was a trader and supervisor for Fidelity Investments. While at Fidelity, he helped in the training and oversight of the trading group and worked directly with market makers to ensure better trade executions. Jon was recognized as one of the top contributors to Fidelity and received Fidelity's top trader award in 2003.
While attending the University of Utah, Jon tutored children at the homeless shelter and competed on the Snowbird Freestyle Ski Team. When not in the office, Jon enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and boating.
Mason Woolf, MBA

Mason joined Albion in March of 2006. As Chief Compliance Officer Mason Woolf oversees the stringent regulatory guidelines for Albion, safeguarding the integrity of internal policies and procedures, and establishing a culture of compliance firm-wide. Mason also serves as Director of Trading, ensuring that investment strategies are consistently implemented for each client. With over 20 years of industry experience, his sharp decision making skills and calm demeanor have made him an invaluable part of Albion’s Investment Team.
Each day, Mason brings the knowledge gained through his tenure at Albion and previous work experience to bear for the benefit of all Albion clients. Mason has extensive investment management experience with such firms as Fidelity Investments, Arlington Value Management, and Morgan Stanley. Mason has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Finance in the Gore School of Business at Westminster College.
Mason is actively involved in the local venture capital world as a member of Salt Lake City Angels. Public radio is a passion of Mason’s and he has served on the board of directors for KCPW, a local, independent, non-profit radio station for a number of years.
Outside of work, Mason enjoys traveling with his wife and daughters. He is an avid mountain biker, skier and automotive enthusiast
Wealth Builder Advisor

Danielle serves as coordinator of the Albion Wealth Builder offering, a role that includes introducing new Albion clients to Wealth Builder, managing the onboarding process for those clients, and working with the investment team to ensure each Wealth Builder portfolio is properly allocated per the client investment policy. On an ongoing basis Dani provides Wealth Builder clients with investment and financial guidance to keep them on track toward their personal financial goals. Dani is a member of the Women of Albion Team, a group of Albion staff focused on the distinct requirements of Albion’s women clients. She is also engaged with our millennial initiative which adapts the tools, techniques and communication channels of Albion to the requirements of the millennial generation.
Dani began her career at Albion in 2011 as an Associate Wealth Advisor, where she gained experience in wealth advising and Albion’s investment management process. In 2015, Dani transitioned to her current role as Wealth Builder Advisor where she assists clients in the wealth accumulation phase of life. Dani combines intelligence and insight with a true desire to help our clients reach their financial objectives.
Outside of work, Dani enjoys being active and spending time with her friends and family. Her appetite for activity is robust. She is an active swimmer, having been a competitor in the sport for twelve years and a member of the University of Utah swim team. Yet swimming is not enough – she also enjoys running marathons and participating in CrossFit competitions.
The Investment Team includes our security analysts, portfolio managers, and traders. The team designs and manages investment accounts specific to the investment objectives of each client as outlined in the client Investment Policy Statement. The Investment Team has expertise across a broad range of investment assets from individual equities and pooled investment vehicles, such as mutual funds and exchange traded funds, to structured products and less liquid non-public investment alternatives.
